an introduction
so once i get this up and running, which should be in the next few days, this will be almost entirely audio posts.
what we're doing is making a central blog to aggregate audio posts from a group of friends. i'm not really sure how it's going to work; we could, you know, potentially hold forth on the greater merits of the internalization of collaborative efforts in modern society.
or we could just end up with three posts a week about how big kendra's last shit was.
that's just the nature of the beast with us, you just never have a clue what the fuck we might talk about. or sometimes, once we get started talking, you just don't have a clue what the fuck we are talking about.
that's fine, at this stage it's just kind of an 'us kids know' kind of thing; if anyone we don't know wants to read or listen or try to keep track of what's going on, that's cool too.
so for the time being, the member list weighs in at four of us:
- tim
that's me. i'd imagine that if you see text on here at any point, it's probably from me. everyone else will usually be making audiposts, and if they want to blog, then they can get their own pages, lol.
at this point, i'm going to school ~35 miles away from home. home is mcpherson, kansas, for all four of us. i usually come home on friday night and stay till sunday night.
i'm also the one working on everything behind the scenes. i'll be the one who makes the permanent template, probably. unless one of you guys wants to learn wicked html and css skillz in the next couple of weeks. that'd actually be great...
i dunno what else to say about myself at this point. - kendra
the namesake of our domain, everyone's favorite pouty little bitch.
she left a comment on my facebook wall about how she had a foot and a half long shit, and tells me when she farts, if that's any indication of what she's like. i'm sure she can be very polite and cute if she wants; i just don't see that part of her most of the time, lol. she's dating josh, who i'd like to get on here too since he's on base in cali right now, but we'll just have to see about that.
kendra goes to school ~85 miles from home, and we never see her at home unless it's a special occasion. her dorm is like concert HQ though, whenever we go up north to see a show, we spend the night in her room. it's killing two pouty little bitches with one stone, you know what i mean? it would probably be nicer if her roommate didn't tell hella stupid stories all the time though, but i've learned to just filter her out. chris on the other hand... - chris
chris has been in audioblogs on my personal blog, so he's no stranger to the process. well actually he probably is, since he was plastered when we made those posts; but he knows how to say shit into a phone, so we're kosher there.
chris is my concert-circle-pit and road-trip man; we've hit underoath, the bled, thrice, aiden, bayside, silverstein, hawthorne heights, and a dozen or two pits in the last two warped tours together. i go with chris' family to see his aunt (my close friend) jacqui in california in the summers. we actually caught warped tour '04 in san francisco together, and we tried to see alkaline trio this year, but that didn't work out.
chris was working construction and living in mcpherson (home), but he broke his collarbone, and now he can't really do jack shit for 6 weeks. or 5 weeks, now. i guess he's going to fall out boy in his sling and brace anyways though, haha.
other than concerts and road-trips, chris and i just sit around and laugh about shit most weekends. i don't know what the fuck he does all week now that he's not working and i'm in salina. i guess he hangs out with casey. - sara
mama sara, the rocker mom.
she's not actually a mom, biologically, but she's the mama and we're all her boys. well, i mean chris and i are. josh and nick, too; but they're not going to be posting on here, most likely. so basically she's on hang-out-and-go-to-concerts-with-us duty for me and chris. chris and sara dated for a long time a few years ago, but you'd never be able to tell now. i guess chris and kendra dated too, but we were just kids then. so anyways, sara is the mom; she's always super-excited to see us and she thinks of us as highly interesting.
sara goes to school ~100 miles away from home, and her presence is almost entirely felt by phone or msn. she does come home sometimes, and she went to a show with us recently, but off the top of my head i think i've only seen her 3 or 4 times since school started. most weekends i make her live the boredom of 'home without everyone together' vicariously by telling her all about it on sunday night or something.
i just want to take a moment to wax sentimental here, and say that the other three kids on this blog are my best friends in the world. i'm lucky to have friends cool enough to get on the wagon with something experimental like this.
